Mom's Birthday Weekend

Jonathan and I planned to go out to dinner and the movies with my Mom and Dad for my Mom's birthday! So beforfe we got together with them we decided to spend some family time by going for a walk.

And this is what we saw~

Turkey Tracks! And Deer Tracks!

Jonathan found Theos Bridge? I don't know who theo is but he found his bridge!
then there was a deer camp that we found, At least we thought it was a deer camp.

I had tons of fun with jonathan and Amber, we walked for about two hours and
thought that we might not be able to find our car in time
to go celebrate moms birthday.

There are so many trails back there that you could not walk on all of them in one day. A funny story is that when we were walking jonathan stoped and said, "Do you smell that?" I tried to smell what he was smelling and I could not smell anything.

So he looked around then up! wouldn't you know that jonathan smelled out a deer stand in a tree, well not really, he smelled the doepee for the deer! Crazy HUH? I have two good noses in the family, Jonathan and our beagle amber.

Well we had tons of fun on our walk, we droped amber off on the way to dinner. we met up with my parents and Had a great dinner with them at Pizza Hut. Then it was off to the movies.

We watched the TAKERS, intense movie

We had a blast with the whole family!

The next day I gave my mom a non chocolate cake!

She didnt want a chocolate cake so I had to be creative, so Jonny and I made her a ricecrispie cake and decorated it with healthy strawberries.

I was so glad that she loved it.

My mom does so much for everyone that I am glad we were able to spend and important day with her.

Branch Confrence

Great! EXCITING NEWS!!!

Branch confrence was at our NEW Church today! They DEDICATED our building!

We now have our own building at the ST. Albans Branch. Our building is so cute and I love my sunday school classroom. I actually have a class room now!

What made it even more special was that my Nana Godfrey was able to come to church with us. I hope she had a great time, she got to be in Jonathans Gospel Principals class that he teaches. It was nice to have the whole family there for once. It was also a great day because Big John, a man that is a big part of jonathans and I past was given the priesthood and Jonathan was teh one to give it to him. The day could not have been anybetter.

The spirit was so strong in the building today, I know we are going to grow so much more as a branch. I just can't wait for what this new building will bring.

I got so SCARED!!!

So amber and I started our holloween and autumn decorating while Jonathan was at work.

I got this really cool decoration from martha stewarts collection where you put it on your wondow. It looks supper good on our half moon window.
So while I was in the kitchen making dinner amber ran to the window and started barking like crazy!
I always see what she is barking at because it is always something. so when I got to the windown I saw this man standing in our front yard looking at us.
I was so scared so amber and I ran down the stairs and before we got to the door the door swong open and a man yelled! I screamed at the top of my longs and fell back, Amber yelped and jumped probably a foot and ran up the stairs with her hair standing on end. It took me a second or three to realize it was JONATHAN!!
That little pooper scared us girls so bad. After Amber relized that it was jonathan she ran after him. Whew what a gaurd dog huh? I think the CSI Shows I watch are really starting to freak me out! I am just glad that it was jonathan though. don't worry I will get him back somehow, he he he

A great Saturday!

On september 11th Jonathan and I went back up to Island Pond. We left our house about 5:30am to go fishing with his grandpa! We were suppose to leave an hour earlier but the alarm didn't go off.

We took the motorcycle again because we were going to go for a ride with uncle Chip, aunt Sarah, and Tony. The ride over to Lake Seymoure was really foggy and COLD! My fingers were so cold, by the time we got off the bike at the lake I really could not move my fingers. Thank goodness Gramps had some gloves for me.

It was such a great morning! The lake was very calm and beautiful,

We had such a great time out on the boat.

We were not sure if we would catch anything, because Gramps said that The fishing had been slow latley. I never been lake trout fishing before

But Gramps and Jonny were great teachers. They showed me how to fish and it worked!

I was the first one to catch one too. It was fun to real it in, I was just hoping that I did not break the line but I was proud of myself and so was Jonahtan.

Gramps measured my fish and It was 19 3/4. I was a 1/4 of on inch shy
of being able to keep the fish. But I was just so happy to have realed it in.
Jonathan was able to catch one also I was so proud of him
He made it look a lot easier though...

His was just a little smaller than mine but still a really huge fish.
I wish Gramps had caught one also.

We saw tons on the fish finder, but I think they were only teasing us because we could not hook into any of them
We only were able to fish till 8:45am because we told his uncle Chip and Sarah that we would be ready to go for a ride around 9am. We were not able to really got for a ride because Chips motorcyle had a leak in the gas tank. But it was fun any way. We ended up riding back to uncle Chip and aunt Sarah house It was fun in the end. Jonny and I love going on motorcycle rides with others.

Tonys bike is the Blue Kawasaki, and Jonathans is the yellow one behind it.
I didn't get a picture of chips bike sadly enough, but It is called nemo like the fish on finding nemo because it is an Orange kawasaki too.
We had tons of fun with these guys and also met up later at Diggy Day, a Yearly get together with the whole family and enjoy daves music/dj'ing He was the same relative that DJ at our wedding!
We had tons of fun just listening to music, dancing, and eating tons of food.
We Had another long day but we had tons of fun.
We ended it with a nice ride home to my parents house to pick up our little girl Amber.
It was a nice scenic ride home, we really got the full effect of vermont, I love vermont, and our covered bridges.
It has been really nice to be able to enjoy the end of summer together. Next time we are planning on going gulfing with gram and gramps! I can't WAIT!!

Choosing a costume

Jonny and I really wanted Amber to dress up for holloween.

We originally wanted to dress her up as a cowgirl but I could not find an outfit that fit her so I found some others.

I orgianally found a ladybug outfit that I thought was so cute, but sadly it was too small.

She was such a trooper though the whole ordeal.
I really had so much fun

Then I found THIS outfit!
It reminded me of when I was younger, because I always dressed up as a pumpkin
So Amber and I are going to dress up as little pumpkins and pass out candy to all the little children.
I can't wait, Look how adorable she is. I love my little amber.

My new obsession

The past few weeks I have been trying so hard to start eating healthy.

So all I eat is non processed food, and a lot of veggies. Latley I have been obsessed

with stuffed vegies, my favorite are stuffed mushrooms mmmm....

It has defenently been a trial and error with my new cooking.
But I love eating so healthy, I feel better, I crave veggies more than anything expecially hummus and celery, (my favorit snack.)
I craved a BIGGY IGGY (icecream in-between two cookies)
Jonny went and got me one and I could not even eat it because it tasted so gross. (it is still in the freezer) I love not wanting food like that. It makes me feel so good to know that I am on my way to a healthier lifestyle

Bear Hunting

Jonathan was able to go bear hunting last week with his brothers. They were able to catch one male bear. I was so excited to see all his vidoes of his adventures.

I really wanted to go too so on Monday, Labor Day, Jonathan, Brandon, and I went with Jared and Kelly to go bear hunting again.
We woke up at 2:30 am to drive north near NewHampshire to meet up with them. We got there around 4:30 am. We brought our little girl Amber with us too, we could not leave her behind for this adventure, even though she is a bunny dog, not a bear dog lol...

When we met up with everyone, we hoped into the trucks and headed for our first cornfield to see if there were any bears. They got each dog ready by putting a shocker collar on, their name collar and a GPS collar on them. The GPS was awsome because when the dogs were on the move you could see them running on the screen and when they stoped and treed a bear you would see the dog sitting, that was our chance to run after them in the woods and find them and the bear.

Jared and Kelly were the ones that owned the dogs, there were about six dogs running. The first corn field did not have a bear so we took the dogs on the road and as soon as we drove about 1/4 of a mile they started barking like crazy so they let them loose in the woods. They only chased the bear for about ten minutes before they treed the first bear! I was so excited....

Three of the dogs got attacked by the bear and were bleeding, one dog got his but seriously cut in half you cold see his intestines. I felt so bad for the poor puppy. But I guess that was a minor wound, he has had worse
She was such a beautiful Bear! I never seen one in real Life before until now,

Dont worry we didn't shoot her, she is a nursing mommy

We wanted to see her come down so they took the dogs away because they were scaring her too much and we were able to see her get down. We were so close to her I always thought bears would attack humans but I was wrong again, I wil have to post a video soon,

After we treed her, we took the dogs down the road to another corn field, there we saw a bear right there in the corn, so we let the dogs out. They chased this bear for a solid 45 mins before the bear climbed the tree. It was only about a year old male.

He climbed the tree really hight so Jonathan Climbed the tree up after the bear! I was so scared, but my hubby was such a great tree climber, here is the shot he got of him

Jared is on the right, he also climbed the tree with the bear but he was trying to harrass it a little and a tree brach that the bear was on got him right in the face :(
Kelly and I first thought the bear smacked him across the face and were freaking out, but i am glad it was only a tree.
After bear hunting we took amber and duke out to train for rabbit hunting,

We didn't end up running any rabbits, but it was nice to see amber and duke run the woods in search for them. I thnk amber is getting the hang of hunting, we just need to to find one to chase
first.

It deffently was a long day and I was ready to go to bed.
I couldn't even drive all the way home without taking a 1/2 hour power nap on top of jay!
It was not fun going back to work on tuesday after having so much fun with my Hubby and his family. I can't wait till next weekend because it will be just as fun.....

Brians set apart

This last Sunday, Brian got set apart as a missionary
I was so happy to be able to be part of this exciting experience

Brian looks like a missionary now.

He left for his mission on Sept 7th. Jonathan and I were bumbed when we were not able to see him off at the airport. When I heard he had already left I started crying, so I am glad I did not see him off because between rosanna and I we would have flooded the airport.

Jonathan and I were able to talk to him on the phone today just before he reported to the MTC and he loves UTAH!

He can't get over how many temple you see within a few miles. He was so excited to be able to see three temples at once! CRAZY, I already miss him so much.

Pig Roast

Jonathans brother brian was getting ready to leave for his mission on Sept 7th and the family decided to have a get together and have a pig roast. This was my first one I ever been to and it was quite interesting.

Jonathan and I decided to ride his bike up to Island Pond, a two hour drive with potato salad in my back pack lol, but it ended up being tons of fun.

When we reached Island Pond we caught up to jonnys cousin Amanda and her husband Justin and ended up riding the rest of the way to the pig roast with them.

(side note, when we got to the pig roast it started to rain, but thank goodness when we left we were able go around the rain and miss it completly, I am not a fan of riding wet! But we did see a lot of wild life.) When we got home we droped jonnys bike off at their garage to take his car home and about a half mile away from our house we got pulled over from a stupid cop and got a speeding ticket and three points taken away. I hated that sheriff, he was so mean. I want to fight that stupid ticket.

ANYWAY
The pig roast,

I never thought I would be able to eat something that looked like that!

But I did! and it was not that bad either.

We had tons of friends and family over and one of their friend, jose is from pueto rico and he sang us a song, enjoy

of course more riding of bikes. The one to the left is Davids bike but Josh is on it. He looks so googy, and the bike to the right is dylans new dirtbike that is road leagal.

I even got to drive it! The boys talked me into riding in front of the house to scare Rosanna, my hubbys Mom! It didn't work though, everyone just cheered me on lol I love driving bikes too..

We had so much fun that weekend I wish it didn't have to end. I can't wait till jonny and I are able to move closer to his family. Hopefully sooner than later...

Dewly was even sad to see us leave..

Never Knew

I never knew that Vermont used to have wolfs? I always associated them to be out west,
but i was wrong,

jonny and I went for a walk up nordak hill and we found a stone that said someone last shot a wolf there in 1839. I had so much fun finding such interesting things with my hubby and my baby girl amber.

I love just having fun with my family

Jonathans Shed

I never knew that my hubby was such a great builder, but he is!

He has started to finish our basement in our house, but he has also been working hard on building a shed for our yard.

He started at the begining of the summer and has been working on it for a while. It is a slow processes because we build as we get money.

This is the begining of the shed, you can tell it was maybe early May, because there are no leafs on the trees.

He built the shed right next to our house, this is our garage since it would have cost us 24,000 to build a garage. I think we made the better investment to build a shed for about 2,500

I never know how much goes into building, we had to get a permit to actually start construction on the shed, not to mention all the carpentry work my hubby had to do.

Jonathan has been working hard on it and only hurt himself once. He was working on putting the wood on the roof with his cousin Anthony and their staging broke and, Anthony had time to grab the roof and jonathan fell to the ground breaking two toes and a lot of bruses.

Jonathan even built his own doors for the shed!

This is the Shed as of 9/1/2010Pretty good huh? Know we just need to side the shed
